EVLN technology

EVLN Disinfection Technology - Revolutionary disinfecting lighting.

LED lighting with a nano-coating on the optical module. Under ordinary white light the coating reduces microorganisms in the air and on surfaces — throughout the room, not just near the luminaire. No UV, no chemicals, with people present.

How it works

  1. 01 · Light

    Ordinary white LED light

The luminaire emits visible light at 450–600 nm. There is no UV.

  2. 02 · Coating

    Copper-based nano-coating

The optical module carries a nano-coating that contains copper. We do not publish the percentage composition.

  3. 03 · Reaction

    Reactive oxygen species

Thanks to the nano-coating on the optical module, activated by ordinary white light, reactive oxygen species are formed.

  4. 04 · Effect

    Fewer microorganisms

Air circulates around the room. The effect builds up: −34% after 6 h, −92% after 24 h. It works throughout the room, not just near the luminaire.

Sanitising, disinfecting, sterilising — the difference

Sanitising

Lowers the number of microorganisms on a surface to a safe level. Everyday cleaning.

Disinfecting

Destroys pathogenic microorganisms on surfaces with chemical or physical agents over a defined contact time.

Sterilising

Removes all forms of microbial life, including spores. Autoclaves, operating theatres.

Where EVLN fits: the luminaire does not sterilise and does not replace disinfection where it is required. It continuously reduces the number of microorganisms in the air and on surfaces between cleanings — whenever it is on.
